A health update

Hubby was discharge from hospital on Wednesday the 6th of February with the intention for him to rest and recuperate for a week.  By Tuesday this week he was in so much pain that I was convinced that they would readmit him.  His doctor immediately confirmed that the combination of migraine and cold fever wasn’t common at all.  And that with the gastroscope, sonar and CT scan that was done – all common problems were illuminated.

Dr De Beer arranged for him to meet with a neurologist for the migraines and a gastroenterologists for the cold fever and abdominal pain which he suspect is related to what remains in the places of the gallbladder.   (K’s gallbladder was removed in 2008 by a Dr P Van Rooyen).

The neurologist (Dr R Van Coller) did some tests, sent K for a MRI scan and diagnosed chronic sinusitis.  He is currently on a course of antibiotics, with a nasal spray and some painkillers.

Tuesday he will see the gastroenterologist (Dr F Potgieter) for an ERCP procedure in which the doctor hopes to find out whether the 2 x 3cm tube in the area of the gall bed is what is causing the pain and or whether there are gall stones.

I am hoping that by Tuesday we will have answers and results and that the ERCP will go smoothly.

It has been a hectic couple of weeks!

  1. One of the biggest reasons that people failed to maintain the
weight they lost is due to temptation of ‘comfort’ food that make people feel good.
It strictly shows you the best way to make this healthful method
of ingesting in to a lifestyle.
