Sparrow at Heart

Welcome to the Curious Wildflower

A space dedicated to bloom where you are planted.

Little bit about the Author

I am a South-African, based in sunny Pretoria.  Wife to Albert and mom to two boys, Logan and Oliver.  Albert and I choose to raise well-adjusted boys, who love Jesus and treat people with kindness and respect.

Over weekends, you will find us fishing, doing a DIY project at home or simply spending time with friends and family.

By day I work in the tourism sector, although my passion lies in mobilising employees to the greater good of the organisation.  You know, people, tech and the environment – otherwise known as organisational development.  For a little more of an introduction as to who I am and what makes my story worth reading, head on over here to find out more about me.

A little about the Blog

The Curious Wildflower is a welcome space to share what I have learned, what I am creating and what I’m doing, hence the slogan,

Learn, Create, Do.

We are better together. Collectively, we can offer and be so much more. My aim in life is to live mindfully and intentionally.

This blog is to showcase what I am busy with, a platform to process what I have learned and share what I am passionate about.

I often times write about the difficult experiences in life, what I have learned through the process and share what I think my be helpful to others.

Learn

Learning to inspire growth.

Create

Creating beauty around me.

Do

Doing life intentionally.

“Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.”

Brian Tracy

Thank you for stopping by.  My name is Alet Drijfhout and you are so welcome here!

Here’s one sentence to explain Alet and the purpose of this blog:

“A girl who thought she had little to offer until she realised that her little victories, may well be someone else’s biggest struggles. And vice versa.”

Come along for the journey. Contact me if you need an ear to listen or have a story to share and be sure to find me on Facebook or Instagram.
